What do you think is an effective way of spreading out information about the latest or proven health methods out there?
Yes they are youtubers and bloggers. Why are they very effective? They are very effective because the style of youtubers and bloggers are similar to Reality TV Show although not exactly. In Reality TV Shows, it can be a mixed of acting and not really real moments, it can still be faked. In the beginning, the very first Reality TV Shows, i think are real or close to real. But these days some of them can be real and others can be a mixed of real and scripted. But that is just my opinion.
With youtubers and bloggers, these people share their real life experience. Most of the videos and blogs are about journals and diaries of their daily lives. The topics ranges from documenting how they were able to achieve their goals, to showing how the way they do things like eating a food that they haven’t had before (Mukbang) or Their first time and review of how to play a particular computer game. With Health and Fitness as the vlog and blog topic, it can be trying a particular supplement like weight loss supplements. You will find weekly or even daily update on how they are doing.
Watching somebody achieves weight loss is not just an inspiration but it’s a powerful way of showing everybody that something works and you’ve witness it. Knowing how powerful these kind of platform is, There will always be somebody who will exploit it. In the beginning of the internet or youtube and facebook. People are more likely to believe anything that they see on the internet as long as it’s not too obvious that they were just made up. These days people are a lot smarter. News and words quickly spreads out. People are more cautious about what they read and what they watch. Have you heard of the word Fake News? This word because popular just around 2 years now. I think it was popularized by the american presidential election race.
The presidential election is only one topic. The Fake News word reflects a lot of different subjects from everything that exists and from all walks of like. Now going back to the Fitness and Health subjects, you can also get fake or false information. So the advice is to make sure you trust the source of the media that you are reading and watching before you keep on going. These of course depends on have long have you been on the internet. The shorter your experience is the more you are easily deceived and believe on anything. So please be careful out there. Be sure to double check everything. But at the same time do not become paranoid. Keep everything in balance and you should be alright.
